Our approach is designed to empower each child to achieve independence by combining our hands-on curriculum with personalized learning to create an environment where curiosity flourishes, independence grows, and academic excellence is a natural outcome.

We want your child to see and believe: “I am capable!”

what makes us stand out.

How is the Guidepost Montessori approach different from conventional education?.

At Guidepost, we join with parents on their mission to help their child grow and live well. Together, we design an education to empower each child to build the knowledge, skills, and confidence she needs to craft an independent, flourishing life.

Though there are many differences between the conventional approach and Guidepost, here are some of the most important:

Conventional Education vs Guidepost Montessori
What is the Guidepost Mission?.

At Guidepost, our mission is to support each child in achieving her own independence. To do this, we help her gain the knowledge, build the skills, and craft the personal character she needs to flourish. Above all, our goal is to cultivate joy—in the pursuit of knowledge, in effort applied to work worth doing, in the achievements of herself and others, and in taking the steps to author her own life.

What are the outcomes of your programs?.

Montessori education is known world-wide for having positive impacts on both academics and social and emotional skills.

At Guidepost Montessori, when we design an environment to meet the developmental needs and interests of children alongside personalized care and support, the child can learn advanced skills at an accelerated pace.

Our students, for example, regularly learn to read by the time they’re 4-years-old and can perform all four math operations with 4-digit numbers by the end of their Kindergarten year.

The language and math skills of our kindergartners are on a par with what children in conventional programs learn in 3rd grade or beyond! What’s more, our students learn advanced academics joyfully—while simultaneously developing deep focus, self-discipline, and positive social skills.

Do your programs include Kindergarten?.

Yes! The third year of our Children’s House program, designed for 3- to 6-year-olds, is the capstone kindergarten year. In this year, the child has been well-prepared to experience an explosion of literacy, learn advanced math concepts, and use her hard-won ability to focus, problem-solve, and persist through challenges to then make advanced gains across the curriculum. Children who continue with Guidepost through Kindergarten are often well-ahead of their peers when they enter 1st grade.

Following elementary, students continue on to our Montessori middle and high school, the Academy of Thought & Industry: a school that combines a classical liberal arts emphasis on history and great books, and a Montessori emphasis on independence and agency.

How does Guidepost partner with parents?.

At Guidepost, we want to make the best education the best for children and parents. This is why we provide year-round, extended-day programming at no extra cost, enabling consistent and uninterrupted access to the care and developmental support parents expect. We invite you into your child’s world—with daily photo and video updates, regular milestone meetings, and parent-child events that showcase your child’s progress. We work to understand your unique context and needs, so that we can provide support for milestones at home as well as at school.

In everything we do, we strive to cultivate joy as you watch your child grow!

Guidepost Montessori of Bridgewater is the most loving, caring, and productive educational step we could have chose for our baby, now toddler. My daughter is happy to go to school everyday. She has learned an incredible amount since she first started. Their curriculum sets them aside from daycare. They are a true school. My daughter learns to respect not only others but her environment around her. She loves watering and dusting the plants in her classroom. We believe it is important for her to have playtime as well. Guidepost does a beautiful job to balance children learning to be free and learning to be structured. The staff at Guidepost are truly amazing. Their love and support they have given my daughter is amazing. I know that she is loved and cared for everyday she is in their care. The respect and compassion the staff has for me as the parent is above and beyond. I love having piece of mind knowing that my baby is being well cared for while I am at work.

Guidepost at Bridgewater is a fantastic place to send your child for early childhood development. We knew from the moment we walked in that we wanted our child to attend. The staff and guides are extremely kind and you know that your child's wellbeing and development is their #1 priority. Our young son always has a smile on his face when he enters the building, especially when he sees Sylvia and loves to wave goodbye to Jennifer!

As first-time parents, we were a bit anxious about sending our child to daycare. We didn’t know much about what options were available, so our search began with us casting a wide net. With little prior knowledge of the traditional Montessori curriculum, our initial search expanded the spectrum. After a few facility tours, it was clear that we preferred the Montessori curriculum and style of learning over the traditional curriculum. What sold us further and made our decision easy was the day we visited the new Guidepost Montessori in Bridgewater. Sylvia Chen, assistant head of school, greeted us personally to provide a tour, answer our numerous questions, and help us through the application process. Our warm exchange and the beautiful facility spoke volumes for what we could expect from Guidepost. So much so that my husband and I agreed to submit our application for enrollment as soon as we left the school that day. Fast forward four months and my maternity leave was nearing its end. Sylvia and Jennifer Tisdale, head of school, both made it a point to reach out ahead of time to ensure our son’s first day was well planned for. When we arrived for new student orientation our son’s guides were prepared to meet us, and it was evident that great care had been given as his name was already visible noted around the classroom. Guidepost’s gradual entry for new students allowed us, as well as our son, to adjust easily into our new environment. From the start, we have always felt like our son’s needs were well attended to and cared for. The Nido guides are fantastic and are invested in getting to know you and your child. They always have our son’s best interests in mind and keep us updated on his progress and needs. One thing we love about Guidepost is their consistent communication. Each day, we look forward to receiving photos and daily tracking notes from Ms. Perrone. While we cannot be with him during the day, this detailed level of communication makes us confident that our son is well cared for. In just the few months that our son has been attending, we have seen so much progress with him developmentally. He is reaching milestones early and becoming more independent each week. He is excited to go to school each day. It is amazing to see his growth and I know it is because of the support he is receiving from his guides. We couldn’t be happier with our choice. Guidepost in Bridgewater has exceeded all our expectations.

All I can say is… WOW. I went from a regular daycare into this guidepost montessori school (after much research/tours and considerations) and I’m blown away. Since starting, my daughter has flourished. It is more of a school like structure but in a fun way. Whereas other daycares just let kids run around like animals with no instruction, here they are Actually learning. The set up of the entire school.. adorable and even more amazing to see in person. The teachers here are amazing, the admin team is amazing, it’s everything I could dream for my child to go to build the perfect foundation for learning and growing. Side note… Jeff Bezos (Amazon founder), Larry page and sergey brin (google founders) all went to Montessori schools as children! Don’t walk… run to the Bridgewater campus. I drive 40 minutes out of my way to go here because the campus and people who work there are unlike any other. I feel just as comfortable leaving my daughter with them as I would a family member. Thank you Bridgewater Guidepost! You guys are the BEST!
