Year-round programming

We think the education of our students is stronger when we can serve the whole family, which is why we are committed to very few closures throughout the school year, and offer extended day options for families.

Hear from our Fairfax Families

Our family has had a great experience with Guidepost. Almost immediately, my daughter shadowed older kids and picked up the alphabet, reading, math all with the self-driven and collaborative work environment.

When we visited it seemed like absurdly structured chaos but the structure has transcended from the classroom into our home. Our daughter puts away her dishes, says thank you, says grace before meals, and has manners we know are fostered at Guidepost.

We have connected with like-minded parents and truly are optimistic about the trajectory she is on after several years here.

"This is such a wonderful Montessori school!"

When we arrived to see Guidepost Montessori at Fairfax, we were struck by its quaintness. The children have their own play area in the back of the schoolhouse, surrounded by a picket fence. It is intimate, yet spacious enough for all of the children to enjoy.

The school is very clean and organized. The classrooms are set up in typical Montessori fashion, with the added charm of displayed artwork made by the pupils. The faculty takes the time to decorate for the seasons and holidays.

The most charming and wonderful aspect of this school is the faculty. Everyone is kind, caring, patient and gentle, and respectful. They immediately treated our family as one of their own. They are the reason our daughter loves going to school each day. She has flourished under their care and guidance and we cannot thank them enough.

This is such a wonderful Montessori school! We highly recommend it.

"Highly recommend this school!"

A great Montessori school! My daughter joined the school after she turned 3, and within two months, she's fully settled down in the new environment and is willing to go to school every day. The teachers are very caring and knowledgeable, and the administrative staff are always very helpful and responsive. The school plan out the entire semester with so many interesting events to keep the kids busy and interested. Love the daily photos of the kids' activities. Highly recommend this school!
