Changing the world, one student at a time

We are a school where children find the joy in learning — and thus make it possible for them to continue learning for the rest of their lives.

To think mathematically.
To solve problems.
To create things.
To encounter great literature that inspires their character development.
To build themselves as capable, efficacious beings.
To place themselves in history and in society.
To spark meaningful friendships and deep personal values that last a lifetime.

Our goal at Guidepost Montessori is to serve each individual child, to help them realize their limitless potential, and the opportunities they will have to create real and lasting change throughout their lifetime.

Hear from our Beaverton Families

I LOVE Guidepost and have so many positive things to say. The classrooms are inviting and calm. The commitment to the Montessori approach feels authentic and consistent. The teachers are wonderful and kind and my son loves them. It makes me happy to see the way the kids interact with my son's teacher because I can tell they feel securely attached to her. The head of school is also great and very responsive.

My son comes home with new independent skills all the time. I also appreciate that they are clear and communicative about school updates. I am generally an anxious parent, and I don't feel anxious about my son when he's at school now that he goes to Guidepost. Highly recommend to anyone who's considering sending their child there.

"We love Guidepost"

We love Guidepost and every one of the guides there. When our son started, we were just hoping for him to have a chance to learn how to interact with other kids and adults. What we found instead was a community that has been a cornerstone of his young life.

Our son enrolled at Guidepost when he was 18 months old and has been there for almost a year now. It has been amazing to watch him grow and blossom. The guides there have been instrumental in helping him with language, good eating habits, potty training, and growing into a really sweet, young person.

The guides do an excellent job of keeping us updated on how things are going during the day and frequently share pictures from the classroom so that we can get a little glimpse of his classroom life, too. Especially with all of the turbulence that the pandemic caused in our lives last year, Guidepost has truly been an oasis for us all.

I would recommend enrolling a child at Guidepost to any of my friends without reservation or hesitation. I can't imagine our son's life now without them as part of it.

"We'd recommend Guidepost in a heartbeat!"

Our son has just moved in to his third classroom at Guidepost Beaverton- he began in the Young Toddler classroom (14-24 months), moved to the Toddler classroom (2-3yr olds) and is now in the Children's House classroom (3-6yr olds). We couldn't be happier with the nurturing environment he's had at the school. His language, independence and social skills accelerated from the moment he began attending the school. The teachers (guides) are amazing and are always so helpful in offering advice when problem-solving any obstacles at home. The classrooms are beautiful and thoughtfully laid out with the children's age in mind - even the artwork on the walls is hung at an appropriate height to be at the child's eye level. We'd recommend Guidepost in a heartbeat!
