Changing the world, one student at a time

We are a school where children find the joy in learning — and thus make it possible for them to continue learning for the rest of their lives.

To think mathematically.
To solve problems.
To create things.
To encounter great literature that inspires their character development.
To build themselves as capable, efficacious beings.
To place themselves in history and in society.
To spark meaningful friendships and deep personal values that last a lifetime.

Our goal at Guidepost Montessori is to serve each individual child, to help them realize their limitless potential, and the opportunities they will have to create real and lasting change throughout their lifetime.

Hear from our Las Flores Families

Guidepost Las Flores is an amazing school! There is nothing but great things happening here for your children. I enrolled my first child here over a year ago. We had high expectations as we began researching pre-schools, and this school has exceeded them. They use transparent classroom, an app where it shows real time updates of your child(ren) such as when they nap, for how long, when they ate, what they ate and how much they ate so you are always ahead of the game. I also get about 10-20 pictures a week, most of the time daily. This is great because I never feel like as a parent, I am never missing out on any milestones. They also do weekly emails to notify parents up upcoming events, holidays, ect.

"We are very pleased"

My son has been attending this school for almost 6 months. My daughters attended a Montessori school in Irvine for years, so I have something to compare this school with. We are very pleased with absolutely everything about this campus. The teachers are very kind and caring. The staff and school directors are very professional and helpful. While the tuition is average for south OC Montessori, I am happy with the student to teacher ratio. My son and his classmates get all the attention they need in order to thrive in a Montessori environment. I see the changes in him already, all in the positive direction. Highly recommend.

"It was a no-brainer"

I really can't say enough good about this particular Montessori. We have 2 children at school here, one of them has been in since the day they opened. Both of our kids are very happy here. We had originally intended to put our first child in a different Montessori until we heard this one was opening up a few years back. Once we visited with the staff and saw what our kids would be getting here, it was a no-brainer.

Overall, I would highly recommend Guidepost Montessori at Las Flores. We had checked out numerous Montessori's prior to our first child joining, and once this place opened, and we met the staff, we were sold immediately.

Language Immersion Options

Children under the age of six absorb language effortlessly, which is why we are pleased to offer bilingual environments. In our Mandarin Immersion program, children learn both Mandarin and English literacy skills, however, the prevailing language spoken throughout the day is Mandarin. The overall emphasis on Mandarin rapidly increases fluency, as children feel naturally compelled to communicate with their Mandarin-speaking guides. Stay connected to your child's learning

Thanks to our app Transparent Classroom, you get a window into your child’s experience of school daily.

Your child’s Lead Guide will share what your child is learning and what their real-time assessments are - this way you can very closely follow your child’s development throughout the day, months, and years you stay within the Guidepost network. If you transfer from one of our locations to the next, your child’s progress and continuity will be tracked in the app and readily accessible. Read more about Transparent Classroom here.

In this app you will see important notes and milestones such as:

  • Daily toileting, eating (bottle feeding for infants), and sleeping habits
  • Curriculum introduction, progress, and completion
  • End of day summary of all activities
  • Notes such as bringing in more diapers or a new set of clothes
  • Reminders for upcoming classroom events like birthdays, holidays, or special occasions
